All Welcome
Calahan sprinted through the golden grass, chasing the light-footed pronghorn. The ungulate was much faster than he was, his only hope was too wear it down. He continued the chase, panting from exhaustion. Travel, and a lack of nutrition had taken an ill toll on him. His journey through the desert had stripped his fur of any shine it had to begin with.

It helped to keep his mind occupied, and off of things...

surya was ravenous, too. when he came to the head of a ridge and saw the man in pursuit, he sank low, wondering whether to join the chase.

two would be better than one—even taking into a account the poor condition of both wolves.

after a few minutes more of hesitation, he gathered himself up onto his paws and surged forward, giving a loud whuff to alert the other canid of his presence. the pronghorn startled, of course, and veered in the opposite direction;

we will wear it down together! he called to the golden wolf, jerking his muzzle toward the quarry.

and sailed forward, aiming to nip at the ungulate's hindquarters while maneuvering around its dangerous hind hooves. . .

He gave the other a look of agreement. Calahan couldn't help but wonder, what man would try and assist with another stranger's hunt. This was very unusual, but not exactly unwelcome. He deduced the grey wolf would want half, if they did catch anything. That was not a problem.

Calahan hung back, keeping an even pace, taking note of the other's impressive speed.
