she hurt —
her paws were cracked and dry from travel. despite the care she had recieved, the lacerations on her side wept with infection. her nipples were sore and changing, and the dizziness often took her over. her urine had changed as well, although she assumed it to be from sickness.
she did not know what waited for her back in the valley, for she could no longer call it home. but it was the only place she could think to go — she dare not show up elsewhere in this sorry state, lest they kill her without hesitation.
although, she muses, that it might happen if it is the girls who find her and not xan. perhaps even him! she did not know what he thought of the fight or how it went down, and worried about what details had been left out.. or added in.
it is well past nightfall and she still continues traveling stubborn and weak. the valley is within sight, albeit distant, and she intends to come home before sunrise.
a dizzy spell takes hold and her trail stops cold as her limbs quake beneath her gamine form.

The beast snarled at nothing in particular as his massive paws crunched the snow. He had lost his prize, and now he was going to go get it, brother be damned. Pack be damned.
The laceration on his side was dripping blood, his torn ear was throbbing and the cut on his neck made his snarl deeper. His hulking frame portrayed seething rage at this entire situation, and with each step, with each blood drop, it grew worse.
Then he spotted her and grinned. Rising his head into the cold air, his nostrils flared, picking up her scent. An odd grin settled on his face as he loped behind her. Her scent was different, and a spark of anger flamed in his eyes. Someone had gotten to her. She was his, and they would know it. He would show them as well as her. A growl rose from his lips as he lunged for her, roughly grabbing her scruff, pulling her to the ground. Forcing her into submission as he once again thrusted inside her. This was no pleasure show. His teeth bore into her scruff as he thrust, and he drove the point home again and again. He released and fell on her, his heart pounding, yet anger still burned in his eyes.
An idea struck him, an awful, twisted idea that made the flames burn bright and let an amused chuckle rumble in his throat. Turning quickly on her, he snarled.

Get up. Now.He gestured with his head what he wanted and growled impatiently.

switching this to all welcome!
she was too dizzy to notice him before she felt teeth in her scruff, and before she knew it her delicate head was forcefully thrust into the snow. she gasped, limbs tossing wildly, trying to sturdy herself lest she collapse under the beast's weight.
but it only gave him a better angle to defile her; she felt him tear into her tender flesh and screamed. her scruff, already wounded from their last encounter, tore as he worked his way inside her.
her screaming stopped almost immediately, as did the flailing of her limbs as she succumbed to him. she collapsed beneath him and whined, her breath shallow and her heart thumping like a firightened rabbit. she felt him grip and come, his vile liquid filling her before he slid out of her and commanded something of her.
even if she could have understood him, she would not oblige. instead, she lay broken and fearful with her eyes shut, half-buried by snow.

The absence of his friend had not gone unnoticed and she had not been forgotten. But a storm had come and gone, taking away her scent and leaving him blind to her whereabouts; he knew not what had happened to her, could not fully believe that which he’d been told. She had abandoned him, like so many before her, and yet he couldn’t so easily disregard her existence. The memories of their time together played through his head, keeping sleep from overtaking him more often than not. She was his but she was not alone, and his indecisiveness, he knew, was what had surely driven her away; he could not blame the girls, only himself. Holding on foolishly to the hope that she would return to the valley and to him, he kept to the borders more often than usual, stationing himself beside her boulder just as he’d done before.
And it was by being there that he heard a scream, the voice familiar, though he’d heard it only a handful of times.
Alexander’s legs were moving before his mind could fully register what it was that he’d heard. He tore across the land, seeking out the origin of the scream—her scream. But when he came upon the scene he felt his limbs lock up, slowing him down whilst his eyes grew wide. For over her stood a male, the stance dragging up a particular memory from the recesses of his mind that he had tried so desperately to forget, to rid himself of. The humiliation felt that day suddenly came back with a vengeance, driving him back—but he could not retreat, he could not abandon her. No one had come to his rescue that day, he’d never been saved from the patchwork male’s vile doings, but history did not need to repeat itself. He could make a difference this time—though he could not save himself, he could save his friend.
Humiliation became fear and fear became rage, blinding the Inuk and forcing him towards the dark mass. He did not slow or hold back in the slightest, lunging forth instead with jaws agape and a snarl that could be heard even by the gods. He did not plan his attack, did not stop to consider his actions—he just attacked, intending to drive his teeth into any piece of the male that he could reach, and drag him far from Reigi.

@Dakarai come in anytime
She paced. Back and forth. Back and forth. Her paws kept time to her heart, almost frantic. Dakarai wasn't back yet. Would he be back? A sob ripped her throat as she clamped her jaws and furrowed her brows. No. She wouldn't break. Not again.
Huffing, she trotted to the entrance yet again, searching for Dakarai. Or her friend. Her eyes desperately trying to find something...anything to announce that either were here.
Nothing.
Emotions boiled inside her as she stormed back to the den, muscles tense. She ignored her torn scruff and aching side as she paced yet again. Then her body froze as a scream.
A desperate scream, and she knew who it was.
Abrielle.
The name fell from her lips, and she took off, a snarl bursting from her lips. He had warned her. He had said he would if he found her. Snow flew behind her as she saw the alpha before her, and she raced to catch up. He paused, and she almost ran into him. Skidding, she stopped in time, then saw what he did, and anger filled her then the name she gave her new friend whispered from her lips, then she called to her as he roared. Rage filled her, yet she saw him go for him. Her concern now was to go for Abrielle. Rushing to her side, she ignored how Lonzo froze and took off, her voice soft, urgent as she nuzzled the woman.

the dark man kept urging her to move but she feigned helplessness (although it felt real in her breast), whimpering. she expected to feel his teeth on her again, she braced herself as her heart beat furiously.
but instead a mighty bellow shook the earth, and she did not have to pry her lids open to know that it was alexander. she did not yet know who his rage was directed at or if it would end there — barreling at the dark man meant barreling at them both, and though she felt lonzo's heat leave her open to the bitter winter wind she feared that it was she that he would come after.
it was a delusion of hers that he was so enraged with her for abandoning him, for casting him aside that it would cost the raven her life (although later she would come to think it was a ridiculous thought). she heard xan's powerful jaws clamp onto something, and her eyes split open.
it was not her. another voice, another one she recognized, and despite the woman's soothing tone her close proximity terrified the wolf with no name. desperately, she flung herself back! back, away, pleasedon'ttouchme.

The happenings at his back, the arrival of another wolf, did not exist—not to him. All that there was, was right in front of him, pausing and then running. The attempted retreat did not lessen his rage, only fueled it, adding to the flame his prey drive; there was this creature running from him, trying to evade his jaws—it was his prey. His jaws snapped wildly, aiming for nothing but everything all at once, intending to take what he could and protect someone he cared for. But the littering of pinches made with his incisors did nothing to aid him in his quest—it wasn’t until one final burst of energy drove him forward and he managed to sink his canines into the male’s hock that he felt the beginning ease of retribution.
Alexander did not hesitate before forcing himself to a stop, retreating several steps with the hindlimb clasped securely between his jaws. He yanked, pulled, and shook his head like a madman, snarling as he tried to rip the leg right off of the beast.

He hurt all over still, his walk not more than a steady hobble. Gashes and wounds covered his pelage but worst of all was the missing ear and the scar over the matching eye. Olive had healed him. How she'd happened upon him, he wouldn't know but she did and she healed him. He'd lain still for a day before saying goodbye and heading home as quickly as possible.
Familiar scents made him move quicker and he breathed them in like a missed drug just as the scream shattered his excitement. He froze and then growled as energy surged through his limbs. He burst upon the scent and staggered a bit though he snarled as he saw Xan hanging on by a limb and Onyx huddled next to a very hurt looking Quiet One. He released a bloodcurdling snarl and lunged forward, beginning to aim quick shredding bites toward the already open wounds covering Lonzo's body. This bastard never stopped and so neither would he, he would always fight against Lonzo until this bastard died.

He was disgusted how the woman laid there and looked up at him. Pitiful. Why couldn't he find him a woman worthy enough to serve him? As he snarled and bent down to clamp on then haul her to her feet, he heard a an enraged snarl that jerked his head up. The beast's pale eyes watched the wolf charge for a moment, deciding if he wanted to flee or fight. Looking back down at his prize, he huffed. This wasn't worth it.
His eyes caught his property's eyes, and shot her an icy glare before growling and turning heels. The crunch of the snow was lost as his heart pounded in his ears. Yet he was not quick enough, a whining growl erupted from his chest as he felt incisors latch onto his leg with ferocity. The man was determined to drag him back, yet the beast struggled against it, moving one foot in front of the other.
He had had enough, and his head whipped around, his jaws snapping.
He had twisted the wrong way, yet it was too late to correct as he heard a snap of bone and a sharp crippling pain shot through him. Yowling, his breath came fast as he twisted some more, trying to get out of the man's grasp.

The terrified scramble back of her friend sent pain and anger rolling through her body. That bastard. She wanted to kill him herself. Fear had turned to rage, yet she fought it, keeping her stance neutral. Her breath came fast as she took a few steps back and laid down on her stomach and whined softly. Ignoring the fight, she kept her focus on who she called Abrielle, hearing snarls and growls. She shoved the anger back behind her fragile wall and vowed that she would kill him herself if they did not.
Her eyes widened as the scent of her crossed her nose again. Pregnant. Uncertainty made breathing almost impossible. Why she hadn't noticed before, she did not know. Should she be around some? Would she kill these too? Helplessness filled her. Her muscles tensed for a moment, then relaxed as determination flashed in her eyes before looking over her friend. Not very far along. She could do this. She wouldn't fail her again. Whining softly again, she hoped the woman's fear would fade enough where she could help.
