All Welcome
Alaric was not always quick on the uptake. He blamed his rather laid back nature truthfully. But as he had been taking care of Sialuk and Elentari, more the latter than former. He had realized @Maggak and @Acrux were not on their adult seeking journies as he had thought, but rather they had simply left. He should have known there hadn't been a ceremony. But he also had been absorbed in making a garden had not gone to the main psrt of the village for days. But now he knew they were missing and that made him a little frantic.

So it was with soft words to Elentari that he'd be back and he set out. He didn't want to drag the children back, he simply wanted to be sure they were safe and perhaps give them small nuggets of wisdom. After all he had traveled since he was six months old or so. He could tell them things to look for and avoid. And he thought every child should have a choice to travel if they so wished, just be well prepared.

He found their scents, but they were fading. And he had never been a very good tracker for singular individuals at least. His talents had lain in entertainment as a way of survival, but that was something no one but Elentari knew.

He seeked and searched. Following the wisps of their fading scent with his heart in his throat.

By no means do you need to answer mostly tags for reference, but you can if you like.

seeking, wolf? spoke the raven, grin in his voice.

the thin branch bent under his mass, for which he was at times called monstrous by even the closest of kin. he took it always as an endearing adjective.

wolf need eyes in skies, eh? and his gleamed in the thicket's half-dark.

Alaric lifted his head at teh voice of another nearby. He saw no wolf, but then his eyes fell cast upon the white raven. And he studied the creature. Alaric had never been a fan of the avian, either to converse with or for fare. But this one had an offer, but ravens were known for their trickery. In all the stories they tricked and misled.

He blinked and pasted an easy smile to his face. Sharp toothed in a way. Seeking yes. I do not need eyes in the sky, but thanks none the less.

ooh, then news you need? we watch, even when wolfs don't ask, ground-bound.

he leaned forward and turned his beak sideways, to show one eye, wide and fledgling-bright.

or is it message wolf needs, hm?

Alaric felt a small little thrill as he always did with the forbidden, but he reined it in. He didn't need to go spying and wheeling on others. It wasn't his business. Were he a man of the committee that tried to be a fake seer, perhaps, but he was not and didn't care for such dramatics.

Alaric shook his head. I've never put much stock in messages from beyond or any other way, really. I prefer to make my own way and speak with the ones who have messages myself.

pah! the raven dismissed with a deep croak.

wolfs, you live inside your skulls, one talon knocked at the side of the bird's own. but we, we fly unbound, go far and see farther!

the one leg's grip on the branch loosened, and the white beast fell out the canopy, beating his wings halfway down to rise and fly past and above the wolf.

if you have need, tell of the white raven, wolf! we are easy to know!
