All Welcome
tzar's ventured a lot further than he'd been instructed to, but without the steady gaze and fierce nips to his notched and healing right ear from ghost to keep him on track, tzar keeps moving.

PEREGRINE! tzar calls out into the wilds, listening for any sort of squeak. anything that might resemble a young pup trying to communicate. only to be met with silence beyond the usual noises of the world.

he smells no sign of young peregrine.

tzar doesn't know if someone had snuck in and stole the young boy but it was a prevailing theory he clung to with an obsessiveness that tended to take hold within him. the idea seemed a bit far-fetched — and suicidal — that a stranger would sneak into the hobbit hole and snatch peregrine without waking any of them. especially since not all of them were deaf. but it was a possibility that his mother had not ruled out and thus tzar did not either.

his steps only slow as he draws nearer to pack lands.

it was a long shot, but maybe they'd be willing to keep an eye out , or maybe they'd seen something suspicious ... just in case.

head tips back to call for anyone in the pack, letting them know of his presence, a request of an audience of anyone that would come.

After the hunt, the quiet had been almost too much for Katmai. He was still getting used to it again, and to the more sedate pace of pack life.

It was almost exciting when a lonely voice called out. A name, but not one that Katmai knew. He headed toward the sound, quickening his pace when the call turned into a howl. What waited at the end was a yearling boy, looking not lost exactly, but in some sort of need all the same.

As he drew near, Katmai detected the scent of Treepie's Caldera family — the wolves she'd gone to visit not long before the great hunt.

"Peace be," he said to the boy. And then, figuring he ought to cut right to the chase: "You've come to Dawnspear — what is it that you seek?"

a small dip of tzar's head is given in return of the greeting, offering a soft uh, hey. not quite sure what he was supposed to return with to 'peace be'. nevertheless, tzar takes it as a good thing: that this meeting was peaceful. which was good. he'd taken a chance approaching a pack he knew nothing about. no doubt when his mother found out, he'd be hearing about it ( or reading about it, rather ).

still, it had been a calculated risk and one that tzar was willing to take if it meant the safe return of his young uncle.

dawnspear. tzar tucks the name away.

my uncle peregrine, he says, not beating 'round the bush. he's uh very small and round and squeaks. i don't even know if he can hear or anything yet. you didn't see anyone with a young pup like that have you?

An uncle? It only took Katmai a moment to catch on, as he was in possession of a few very young uncles himself — soon to be more, perhaps. His expression hardened; he remembered his own time spent being small and lost, and he knew that it was imperative to return the child safely home before something even more terrible happened.

"I haven't," he replied, "But let me call your cousin, and see who else can help you look."

He paused to howl for @Treepie and Kinusi — and anyone else who might feel the need to investigate. He thought that, if it were his child, he'd want @Alaric on the hunt for him.

"How old is the pup?" he asked then, eyes intent on the younger wolf's face. "When and where was he last seen?"

Tiuttuk wouldn’t ignore a summons from leadership regardless, though there was something urgent about Katmai’s tone that made her drop what she was doing and swiftly heed the Chief’s call. When she reached his position near the borders, she ascertained the young man standing there facing Katmai—his face unknown to her but the scents on him all too familiar—and her brow furrowed.

Greetings… Redhawk? she sought to confirm, the only words she spoke before she fell silent and let the two males fill her in.

He can be pped and a cameo. I will post as I can. Wrestling season has started so I am a very busy mom

Alaric caught the urgency of the howl and found himself following it with surprise and concern. A tilt of his head when eh arrived. He bowed low and then waited for the answers to the questions. He already was beginning to think of places a child may go, but a child that small. Something or someone possibly had to take it. They didn't wander far.

His heart hurt for Towhee who had already lost much.
