i'll put this in the borderlands sub when it gets up, fyi, so anyone is welcome to it

She snaked a path and stared ahead, feeling the weight of déjà vu sink into her bones. This was nothing new, and she shook her furs out before she lengthened her trot -- just as she always did. Routine.

Unknown to her, the pack's foundation had been a year prior now. Back then, she had done much the same in prowling the mountainside but as a different wolf. Perhaps not drastically so, and of course the same could be said of this mountain. Instead of fresh and unknown, a veritable treat for the curious soul, she knew its curves in agonizing detail now.

She reached the borderlands and listened after a brief pause, wondering if any had come near the mountain since her last lap. Now, sweeping forward once more, her travels were slower and more deliberate. She had to find a way to breath new life into this, or else the flame may turn to merely forgotten smoke.
