she wasn't one to argue, especially if laurel showed interest. eagerly the russet child stepped behind the two, her gaits bright and animated. with excitement she leaped from leaf to leaf, rock to rock, and sometimes even her sister's bobbing tail fell prey to her pounces. eventually she would tire, and eventually, she would become cold -- but for now she followed the duo into the waning moonlight that sheathed the navy skies in a pale, cold alabaster glow.
now the wren has gone to roost and the sky is turning gold,
