indra wordlessly trailed the heels of her sister, her thoughts trickling back to their past, their family, their lives now. she was consumed by these memories until they came upon a den caved in with snowpack, though the hardened surface and crimped pawprints around the area suggested they were not the first to revisit it.

indra lowered her muzzle to the ground and sniffed around the area while laurel dug through the powdered snow. she unearthed a rabbit and proffered it to indra -- indra would never have said it aloud, but it there was hardly more meat on that than on the wing of a mouth. she smiled appreciatively anyway, and cradled the corpse between two claws as her teeth worked what little sustenance remained off of the carcass. once she had finished she licked her lips and looked to laurel thankfully. "thanks.. wonder who took it." maybe it was packmate -- maybe it was a coyote or some intrepid carrion bird. "we could hunt for more if you wanted."
