Ouroboros Spine sure would like some sweet company

Kukutux spoke of her daughter, and an odd emotion squeezed at Ruenna's heart. She was grateful that the Moonwoman had her daughter to lean on for comfort and support, but the mention of children reminded Ruenna of the origin of her and Kukutux's acquaintance. They'd spoken of families before, and Kukutux had offered to procure for Rue means of establishing her own lineage. 

"Oh, always!" Ruenna agreed with a laugh, sinking into the warm waters with a sigh. "When I was young, I kept busy because I felt like I had something to prove. And now that I'm old and lame, I feel it even stronger! I feel like I need to always stay busy, to show that I'm still useful." Stars, wasn't that some irony! Even though Ruenna was at a point in her life when she should most certainly be indulging in more rest, she resisted it, for fear that others would look down upon her for being exactly what she was. 

"I suppose I must have convinced someone of my worth.. I am a Regent now," Ruenna noted with a smile, "..a leader in the Caldera." When they'd last spoken, Ruenna had yet to even be accepted back into the Redhawks. She was even moreso in the position to request Kukutux's matchmaking services, now that she had been elevated to a position with breeding rights, but was Kukutux still in the matchmaking business?  So much had changed in the past few moons, and Ruenna couldn't really think of a good way to ask.
