Imaq couldn't stop the way her head cocked in confusion, perplexed by the new word -- trying to decipher what it meant by picking apart the others in his sentence. She had it pretty much figured out when he reiterated, for which she offered him a grateful smile. "Ah," she murmured in understanding, before what he had said really sunk in.

The cur's head bobbed a fraction, as if it again wished to duck bashfully but she managed to stop herself. Regardless, a faint smile pulled at the corners of her lips, despite how she pressed them together to keep herself from grinning like a lovestruck fool. She didn't know exactly what to say in that moment -- whether because of the language barrier or the butterflies that erupted in her stomach, silencing her tongue, she couldn't be sure.

Rather than embarrass herself by stammering to formulate a response, the half-breed ghosted a step closer and brushed the curve of her temple along the pale plane of his chest in response. They seemed to communicate better this way.

"Imaq share with Rye?" She asked him after a moment, with only a hint of the usual timidness that influenced all of her interactions, bending slightly to nudge at the woodchuck's damp coat.

A warm contentment had settled in her chest, as if all her worries had been vanquished and there was a hollow relief in the place they had occupied -- like finally pulling a rotten tooth. She really couldn't think of anything better at that moment than an impromptu picnic date with Rye, except maybe a chance to get to know him better -- they were going to be raising a child together after all.
