And that was that. Without anything to add, Ruenna simply nodded. For a long moment, she stared thoughtfully off in the direction Malila had disappeared, reflecting on all that had happened. Eventually, she let out a sigh. 

"That was not my best moment as a leader, I'm afraid," she admitted quietly, almost as if she were talking to herself. Malila had hurt her feelings when she belittled her achievement of becoming a wife-- a position she had craved for so long-- and she had responded rather harshly. 

She would give both Malila and herself some time to calm down, and then she would approach Malila again. She would find a way to make things right, or help somehow, or at least just apologize and try to start over. 

Ruenna shook herself, coming out of her own thoughts to look at Aquene. "I'll leave you to it," she told her. She dipped her muzzle to Aquene before excusing herself to wander off, briefly distracted from the pain of walking by her roiling thoughts.
