Bearclaw Valley a seminar about whether or not deer feel pain or are just sad

Somewhere between Aves and Indra, she heard Stryx yelling after her. Maybe she should feel guilty for prioritizing killing Indra over treating her husband's wounds, but she knew when the bruin-jaw woke, he would want to know that the children had been taken care of. 

She ignored the other healer and continued farther into the darkness.

When she found Indra, her way was blocked by Val. Arielle gave him a murderous glare; she would kill him to get to the child if that's what it took. 

Her focus shifted to the shaking, hunched form of Indra. Come over here, Indra. Val wants to keep you from the bear, but you know I will help you be worthy. Arielle smiled at her. It's okay, she cooed. She was banking on the fact that Indra would trust her over anyone else.
