The taste of blood was nothing new to the girl, but to taste wolf's blood for the first time sent a shock through her- and she couldn't tell if she found it either repulsive or decadent. Still sinking her teeth in, she flicked her tongue across the roof of her mouth to sample the taste again, only to be stupefied as if she'd short circuited. Unable to make up her mind, she left herself wide open to a counter-attack- a simple, but effective one on Arric's part. 

She screamed in pain, releasing his foot as she writhed and continued to utter a series of shrieks that intensified with each painful breath she took. The pain was intense- so much so, that her body threw her into shock; an experience that her body had been through once before, just moments after her birth when her tail had been bitten off. 

When she lunged for him again, it was without any logic or reasoning, only fury. Between the size of her jaws and the lack of bite power, there was no way that she could kill him but she'd be damned if she didn't try. Like a small, infuriated shark she aimed to snap at his throat, in retaliation for the pain he'd caused her.
