Duck Lake blue heron

sun eater grunted to say that he had heard her words. he lifted himself from the bloodied mud beside the lake, pointing with his muzzle to the caribou. there was no order for her to eat. but he had already taken first taste, however symbolic, and she had been here again to see the end of its life.
