Both the pressure and the pleasure of his closeness were relieved at once, as well as the burning shame that she was feeling something akin to affection for another wolf. Burning cheeks threatened to pull her lips into a smile as she raised herself from the ground so quickly that she got a slight headrush, and inadvertently wobbled a step toward him as he bowed his head. The sound of his language surprised her enough that she recovered and caught her balance, just in time to tilt her head curiously. 

He spoke again, what she thought was a translation. A compliment. It brought such wild and surprising glee to hear him express his appreciation that she almost forgot entirely that he had just mopped the floor with her. Trying to keep her cool, she looked down the bridge of her muzzle at his bowed posture for a moment, still a proud creature even when she had lost a battle. Her lips twitched faintly, parting at the edges. Not quite a smile, but a reaction nonetheless. 

She was graceless in comparison, both in battle and in bedside manner. She wiped a trail of saliva from the corner of her lip and jutted her chin at him, giving him a crisp nod accompanied by a cool shrug of her dirty shoulder.
