he could not believe what the gods had given him: a girl with the unknown name of @Nutuyikruk who wore moonglow's eyes and — the man who was cen did not dare to dream.

he had chosen this place for his mate. sheltered from much snow, the land bristled rich already with the medicinal stinging scent of a half-dozen herbs, and more to come. rivers here were unburdened by ice, and caribou moved in repose among ancient trees. moss carpeted cold stones, and downy hollows haired by little ferns invited those weary to rest.

a place sheltered, but surrounded by the everlasting herds. sun eater was content to be away, and searched for each member of his pack to arrive.
