Leery of this strange wolf, she watched her carefully and maintained her short distance for now. The answer that came was just one syllable, although paired with further observations, was enough for Amekaze to understand better. She bristled her guard furs just a little in response.

The female smelled of nowhere in particular the dark Rikudou knew herself. She didn't seem particularly old, either, but was very small. Perhaps the dark-brown female was lucky to have made it this far, and Amekaze wondered why her weakened steps had led her here of all places. The mountain did not normally see many visitors, after all.

Well, if you have no purpose, then all you will find here is death, she grated with a low, annoyed growl in the back of her throat. Whether by teeth like hers or by nature itself, Ame could spare little sympathy for total strangers pitifully cluttering her doorstep. It was wintertime, and while it had been mild, she was selfish enough to put herself and her packmates first.

Unless she saw any semblance of a spark of hope in the next moments, she would not go out of her way to create it.
