Only when the thrill of running full out began to wane did she tune in to see how he fared. She knew he was following by the sound of his paws and his breath and now that she was feeling like retaliating (sufficiently pleased by having outrun him), she slowed up subtly. Ears pricked forward and although she refused to turn her head to look, she glanced behind her best she could. She didn't intend to make him suspicious of her upcoming move.

When she heard him stride forward in pursuit, she wheeled around abruptly then sprung back at him, fully intending to cause the best collision-combined-tackle she could. With his momentum and her own reared-up response, she couldn't help but growl playfully.
