Despite the fact that the day was rapidly fading, Rannoch opted to remain in Sleepy Fox Hollow. He knew that prey was nearby, specifically rabbit. Rannoch sought the rodent's scent; his hunger couldn't be dismissed any longer. He was hungry—his appetite hadn't been satiated in days—and he knew that he needed food.
Rannoch knew that he wasn't alone, and he actively avoided interaction. He didn't want any company at the moment—Rannoch just wanted to eat.
