Blixen indicated that now wasn't a good time. Glancing upward, Ephraim had to agree. When would the threat of never-ending storms come to a close? The Skayona was feeling increasingly tense with every passing day that brought dark clouds on the horizon. The air felt electric all the time on the cliffs now and it was exhausting just managing his anxiety about what was to come. Being stuck here in a place so difficult to navigate wasn't his idea of a good time either.

So they turned back to the cliffs and picked their way out of the knotted woods until they reached the forest bordering their home, at which point Ephraim parted from Blixen with a promise to try to explore the Tangle better another day, that he could offer her some knowledge of the place. After all, he was small and cunning; surely he could find paths through it all.
