He nodded slowly and breathed out a soft cloud of resignation. His investigation was over, it seemed. Perhaps he'd know not who was here and of their state now. He sought to leave, to return to Grezig and ensure she was safe from whatever fiend that had passed through here. They better be long gone by now.

He inclined his head to the she-wolf; an invitation to follow he supposed she would not take up on. But he would be glad for some silent company whilst he made his way back to the Weald and certainly wouldn't hold her to stay.
He turned, making away through the charred trees, brushing up against a few to stain his fur dark. His tail swished softly, held above his hips. He felt at home here, and he wasn't afraid to show it. Not even to the nearby back on the mountain. He wouldn't have trouble with them if he could avoid it.

He turned his head slightly, not fully showing that he was checking for her. But all the same, she could see his check; he didn't mind.
