It seemed plain enough, but Kiwi wasn't sure she bought it. This place was nice, so she wouldn't be surprised if other wolves were lookin to settle here. If they were, they weren't doing it without agreeing to join them first. She wasn't about to let anyone other than her mom head up the copse.
A better method might have been to politely ask if she was looking to join somewhere, but Kiwi tended to tell it like it was rather than worry about formalities like recruitment tactics.
I'm patrolling,she said, and it was her turn to use a tone that airily said she should have already been able to figure that out.
And we're claiming this place. So you can't stay unless you agree to join.
