a faint, pleased smile pulls at his features when she answers him and tucks herself under his chin. he embraces her gently, sighing softly and suddenly wondering what he's gotten himself into. he hadn't forgotten that children might result from their coupling, but that concern had seemed secondary in the moment, when he could think of nothing but elixir and what she wanted. now, as they settle in the aftermath, the thought jumps to the front of his mind — but he doesn't find himself terribly concerned. elixir is kind, intriguing, and they seem to have common ground; he can see himself raising children with her... perhaps even loving her in time. his only true concern is ford's reaction. the leader is kind, he knows, but strikes him as a strict man, and he does not know how he will react if elixir becomes pregnant. he pushes the thought away, tightening his embrace a little and promising himself that he will stand by her — regardless of what the future holds.
