He had chosen to give the new mother and her young could get settled - he was certain she had plenty on her plate with the puppies and visitors aplenty to come to see them and check up on her that he was more so focused on the borders. It was a less glorious way to spend his day, and he indeed wants to go see them when possible, but it wasn't his decision.
Pale auds flipped up and toward the sound, calling for him was Erzulie. The last time she called of him was due to an intruder on their borders, and though she lacked that same shrill, he was quick to make haste to where she lay. Cautiously his eye wandered and it wasn't until he was certain she was fine did he relax, a placid expression looking over the new mother curious.
