I think we're doing rounds, yes? Shouldn't conflict with anything!

He came back carrying no fewer than three different types of flowers. He didn't know if any of them were the right kind, but he would have to hope. He also brought back the heart-shaped leaves, the taste of dirt still in his mouth from where he had pulled them from the ground. Briefly, he thought of the wolf who had been searching for poisonous plants, and he hoped that none of the flowers he'd gathered were that. Kaertok hadn't ingested anything, but he was vaguely aware that some could be dangerous even without swallowing them.

Are these the right ones? he asked, casting a worrying glance to Raleska. Wasting no time, he sniffed gingerly at the two wriggling creatures at her side. They were eating, which was good, but if Raleska—no, he couldn't think that. They needed to be cleaned, as Kaertok had seen so many mothers do before. He set to work on them next, gently licking their fur dry as they drank their first meal.
