Blackfeather Woods Send a postcard

This will probably be a brief thread - feel free to cameo hearing his howl or showing up to see him off.

Takiyok had walked with him to the border. They were running out of time. He knew that she would worry. He knew it would be difficult for them to be apart for so long. He had never done a journey like this one and felt such guilt for leaving people behind. Travelling was supposed to be the thing that made him happy, but this would be different. The way was dangerous. The mountain lion was still out there, so he had promised @Takiyok that he would do his best to only travel during daylight hours when the cats were less active.
There was a lot that could happen to either of them in two weeks, but Taikon was determined to tell Easthollow what had happened to @Taktuq, to let Siarut know that she was okay, and that her pursuers were likely still at large.
At the border, Taikon pushed his face into Takiyok's fur. Leaving her was challenging. He knew very well she could take care of herself, but he also knew that his absence would cause very real worry. He had taken her advice and had been eating more of his own hunting spoils during the week, slowing down his constant movement. His sleep had still been suffering — mild exhaustion showed as lines on his face. Thank goodness he was primarily white in colour, or the grey hairs he'd developed over the last few weeks would have been quite obvious.
He stepped back and smiled at her. With a deep inhale, he tilted his maw to the sky and howled a message to Ivory Rose that he was leaving temporarily to Easthollow. When he was finished, he wondered silently if anyone would even care aside from her. @Zephyr was Zephyr; who knew what was in his head.
