All Welcome
Their risky bid for escape had brought them within range of the borders- she could smell what would be the last touch of Merrick’s scent along the borders as they raced along. Her eyes stung when she thought of him, dead. Of the whole, insane lot, she’d fallen for him. And he’d cast her aside.

Well, she was leaving now- and damn them all, she was taking their little hostage with her.

If only the small, foxlike female @Pandora hadn’t caught sight of them. ”Faster. Don’t stop! Don’t look back!” She hissed at @Abel, as she snapped at his heels, her voice low enough only he would hear her. She glanced over her shoulder. The foxy one was closing on them, and had called out to let the pack know that Abel had been found.

She could turn this around.

She lunged for Abel, but came up just short when her forepaws landed in a softened pile of snow, and slid out from under her, causing her to crack her chin on the ground. She snarled, as though in frustration as she sought his scared, tired gaze for just a moment, just long for her gaze to to urge him to go- to flee, to never look back.

She lurched to the side with her teeth bared, a hiss of pained breath as she held one ankle aloft. She turned her back on Abel, and turned to face the oncoming woman, holding her position and fussing about her “wounded” foreleg until the last minute.

Once Pandora came close enough, she’d drop the act- and lunge straight toward her, in an effort to buy Abel more time.
