the dragonflies were thick in the air—one might be able to reach up and grab one with relative ease. aditya did just that as he entered the meadow, relishing the crunch beneath his teeth, the slight nutty taste.
unfortunately, it only whetted his appetite, and he felt his stomach growl even with the small morsel down.
he'd met up with waxwing on the boy's journey back home; they'd kept tytonidae company for a time. the woman was in fairly poor health, and he owed it to her to be there at least for some time.
but he knew she'd want word of her daughter, too, and so here he came again, headed toward brecheliant.
but. he needed food.
adi sank to his belly in the tall grass, wondering how still and how long he'd need to stay in this position before a hare or squirrel dared come within range of his jaws.
