Dragoncrest Cliffs Hotter than a fantasy

Fabienne was never still for long and despite that her aunties tried to keep her in line. The wild child, wasn't having it. She refused to believe that their mother was gone. She wouldn't have left them. Not to mention there was far too much to be getting on with in the world, now that her ears worked and her eyes. And those bandy legs. So it was with a hurried rush, she got away from her aunties again and raced towards the sea. 

Laughter followed her, as she babbled in french and Creole. Refusing to learn a word of the language her aunties tried so desperately to teach her.

it wasn't lafayette's turn to watch the babies, so he was spending time by the shore, walking without purpose and staring aimlessly at the waves. nothing had been able to break him out of the listlessness he felt since his auntie chacal had gone away, along with so many others.

nothing—until today.

his eyes cut sideways as they perceived a pudgy red-and-black form in the periphery, galloping haphazardly toward the water. heart in his throat, he raced toward his tiny cousin, flinging sand and pebbles in his wake.

fabienne! stop, ti fi! lafayette hollered, trying to pitch his voice above the noise of the wind and sea. fabienne, stop!

he was gaining ground, but the surf was still far too close. would he get to her before she she was caught in the maelstrom—just as he had once been?

Aye, you little shit! Dashing in a blur of deep red clay earth, the Carnelian ran down the beachside, opposite of her brother's own charge. @Noé had not turned out to be quite as much of a pawful as this one had. Obviously, given her own age, Shadess hadn't known exactly the extent of what she was getting into when she found Chani and her little litter at the cape. 

Ou pare pou mouri si ou pran sou vag sa yo! If she did hit the water, it wouldn't be long before Shadess was hoisting her out of the tide.

She saw the uncle cousin and her giggle turned higher and she sped up. The common language he spoke not even making her pause. Though as he called out girl in her manmans language she stumbled a little.

It was the yelled creole of the auntie cousin that stalled her footsteps but only for a second. She giggled and changed direction.

oh, this girl was a slippery one. luckily, shadess came in as well, shrieking in creole, and he hoped that the two of them working in tandem could successfully corral their cousin.

fabienne! lafayette called out. she was just playing, but his heart was in his throat—

which would normally be a terrible feeling—but at least, at this moment, he was feeling something at all.

shadess— 

his voice and gaze took aim at his sister, jerking his chin toward the runaway. keep by de water. i'll be by de cliffs, an' you can run 'er toward me.

The girl still ran, yet she did change direction, no longer going straight for the might of the waves. With the immediate danger having been quashed, Shadess was content with now just the satisfaction of catching the little shit. 

Shadess' ears perked, listening to her brother's direction. They had a hunt now and it just so happened to be a pup as small and as swift as a hare. 

Shadess ran along the beachside, creating a boundary between the tide and her little cousin. Once she was close enough Shadess would lunge towards the girl, ready to snatch her up by the scruff and if all else failed, might bring Fabienne closer towards Lafayette who was in waiting.

Her laughter rose in pitch. Frankly if a devil had a laugh it would be this. Her eyes of sea glowed with a feral recklessness and she ran faster. Tail twitching.

Shadess tried. She felt the air from her cousin/aunties teeth but she just missed.

the girl darted to and fro, evading shadess' reach and coming away with laughter that chilled the depths of his soul. she was just a kid, sure—but with everything else that had befallen their pack, the thought of her meeting some watery demise just under their noses was too much to bear.

rage built up with lafayette, rising like magma in a volcano before he finally erupted—

FABIENNE! he bellowed, ruddy fur puffing out in a fiery cloud 'round his slender form. SISPANN, KOUNYE A!

rather than running, he walked with a purpose toward his baby cousin, face set in a harsh, skeletal grimace.

Fabienne was like dark coal and flames, with white smoke rising inbetween. Her first months of life on the island in seclusion making her more wild, more feral. Shadess came to not mind it at all. What was meant to be proper, anyway? The Sapphique were hardly queenly dames and pure blood royal princesses. 

Lafayette however did not take kindly to it at all. His outburst halting even Shadess own self, if not the babe which she was rushing after.

Fabienne turned and stopped at the sound of her uncle cousins scream. She froze and trembled, but lifted her lip in derision. Her tiny body shaking in absolute fear, but she stood her ground anyway.
