@Screech backdated to before the hunt.

The chilly wind sifted through the young cream pelted she-wolf's fur. The sound of birds chirping in the tall trees flooded her ears as they occasionally twitched as she tried to listen for an animal that she could possibly make a meal of. She closes her eyes amber eyes and tries to concentrate on determining which direction a sound is coming from, luckily for her she hears a rabbit hopping through the leaves that laid on the floor. She creeps through the trees, listening to the crunching of the leaves, her body low to the earth floor as the rabbit now comes into her view. The rabbit turns its head and looks in both directions, little did the animal know that Whisper was slowly creeping her way closer. As soon as the animal was in range, the wolf sprints towards her prey, grabbing it between her powerful jaws until it's heart stops beating.

The boy's mind was dominated by thoughts of Sorina (although in his head she remained nameless). He went over the events in his head again and again, at first feeling the same physical response to the images of her figure beneath him (and as much fun as it was to fantasize while he was loitering by himself, a bitterness accompanied the effort). Over the course of a couple of days Screech savored the bitterness her image brought to him. He cultivated it. Having been emotionally wounded by her response to him had served as a catalyst; soon all that would harden was his heart.

Meanwhile, he tried to keep busy. Screech had become efficient along certain paths through the dark wood and was continually testing himself. If he was to survive with the darkness that his injury provided, he would have to be smart about it — and we know Screech, he isn't one of the smart ones. But he was trying. So he paced a route along through the forest, couting his steps and making mental notes of the terrain, until he was blocked at an impasse or he was too tired to continue.

Thus, he found the girl. She was standing in a patch of the forest that wasn't wholly shadow and her golden pelt was illuminated by the dim, overcast sunlight. In her jaws swayed a freshly caught rabbit. Rather than call out and disturb her Screech opted for the creeper route and merely observed, turning his head so that his missing eye could be spared her scrutiny should he be found out.

Whisper heard something but decided not to bother with it at the moment. Her prey was rather small and even if she wanted to share it wouldn't really provide a full meal for either her or whoever she decided to share with. It was merely a meal for her anyway, more like a snack. Whisper tears a piece of the meat off the bone of the now deceased animal.

She was thoroughly preoccupied with her meal, giving Screech a chance to close the distance and get a good look at her. From afar she had looked pretty small, and it surprised him when she didn't get too much bigger as he got closer. Was she young like him? His brow furrowed; she had managed to hunt on her own pretty well judging by the kill, so maybe she was older — it didn't matter either way really.

The scent of blood in the air overrides any scent she might be carrying so, growing suspicious, he withdraws for the time being to the forest's shadows. It is unlikely this stranger is from the south but Screech cannot be too careful — he's mildly paranoid that a wolf from Moonspear might show up on Constantine's proverbial doorstep and demand his other eye, or some other ludicrous notion.

Whisper was about halfway done with her kill when another wolf came into her view. ¨Hello, may I help you?¨ Looking at the males build, he was fairly young. Or at least according to her he might be. ¨My name is Whisper. I was recently accepted to the pack forming here." She states.

She somehow managed to see him in the dark of the wood, and called out. Stricken for a moment like a deer caught in headlights, he didn't move, not until her introduction played upon the air. Screech didn't know if she was telling the truth but he was already found out, so he decided to emerge anyways.

He watched her with some caution as he advanced, but stopped a wolf-length or so next to her. This close he could inspect her, smell her, and he thought he noted the scent of Constantine upon her - so she was telling the truth. But Screech didn't have the best manners; he didn't want to introduce himself and so he didn't.

Instead he muttered, What're you eating?

The she-wolf finished the piece in her mouth before she spoke. "I am eating a rabbit that I caught earlier today. " She looked up at the male, he seemed to be much younger than herself but she didn't want to assume. "Would you like the rest?΅
