Pack Activity
Phex was tired of sleeping in cold and under trees. She wanted a den and that is what she'd get.
So now, the youth could be found at the designated den site making a massive mess of her den.
She'd never dug a den before but, seriously, it was a hole? Right? She'd dug some pretty cool holes before to hide stuff so. Now she needed to dig an ultra hole to sleep in.

The problem with Phex was that she was small and her legs shorter than most. But she had puppy sized paws that'd she'd retain forever, like little, clubbed feet but cute because, let's be honest, its Phex. So the piebald girl scrabbled a the hardened ground, not making much progress apart from scraping up damp leaves over her underside and covering her chest -- somehow.
At least she was having fun; or was until her paws started to hurt from the partly frozen ground.

However, Phex, being the stubborn little shit she was, kept trying to dig until she had spent her day making a measly dent in the ground. Nothing magnificent, but it was a start. Her paws were cold, a soft sprinkling from the trees had fallen onto her back. The girl took a rest, panting softly and slumping down on the small pile of dirt she'd shoveled out of the way.
Den making was very hard, she realised.
She wondered what @Cry and @Gwen would make of her grand design.

It would happen that the older male had come to see what a Phex had been up to as of late. Following the scent trail, Cry had spotted the bright orange and white parched sunburst through the heavy trees, and he was interested in how she had been getting on with her living situation. He and Gwen had gotten their own together, and clearly it was much more effective with two pairs of paws than one, and while he had a separate den he had made before Gwen had come, the Phantom couldn’t help but wonder if Phex had needed some help with her own. Rather than asking outright, as he neared, he offered the hardworking youth a warm greeting.

”Good morning.” That was all the man could give her- else he would overstep and ask to help her make her own den.
He wasn’t very fond of seeing any of his family struggle.

The girl rose at the emergence of Cry, his form materialising from the shadows as if her thoughts summoned him; glacials eyes finding form first. Her white banner waved above her hips and she quietly trotted to greet him with a soft chuff. "Hey Cry, I'm digging myself a den!" The youth grinned, lifting her chin with pride at her small achievement.
"Ain't I doing a great job!" The girl turned and trotted back to the mound she'd made and the beginning of her den (nearly said hole that sounded strange for poor ol' Phex) that she was oh ever so proud of. Her sea-green gaze turned to Cry expectantly on his comment.

She often expected praise, but she also expected ways of making her efforts better and, right now, she really needed advice on digging an ultra hole. Then, an impulse took over the girl, imploring her to quickly swipe some of the loose dirt up at Cry. The youth jumped sideways with a playful yap and positioned in a play bow. She needed a time out after all her hard work.
