All Welcome
Yanna had decided that enough was enough. He was done waiting for an opportunity worth his time to find him. He would swallow his pride and seek it out. He felt so useless, roaming as a solitary wolf, with nowhere and no one to lend his warrior skills to. He was a choosy male, yes. He preferred to test others before lending his services. But there were ways around that. For instance, if he joined the pack of his choosing, he could test it's strength from within. Working from the inside out - what better way to see if it was the right fit?

There were many well established options for the militant minded male to choose from. But of all of them, his paws guided him to the coast. It was unlike any of the others, a thriving sanctuary guarded my pillars of dual stone, worn by time. How fitting. And the sea... With a pleased rumble he recalled the time he took an icy dip to train his muscles, in the company of a white female. As his yellow eyes swept over the crashing waves rolling against the shore, he looked forward to the potential challenge such a training ground could offer. But first he had to plead his case. Positioned a respectful length away from the borders, his deep baritone broke through the air. Stormrift had a visitor.

He probably shouldn't have returned here. It wasn't going to benefit him in any way, but curiosity got the better of him, and Kaertok returned to the pack that had obviously been failing when he had left it. The call of a stranger (to be fair, all the wolves here were still strangers to him) caught his attention, and Kaertok loped toward the sound until he found its source.

This pack is weak, the Tartok wolf said, They lack leadership. True, Kaertok himself had not attempted to overthrow the existing leader, but by the smell of it, somebody had already done the job for him. Firefly's scent was nowhere to be found, and another was already fading.

As he stood by the borders, waiting patiently, someone did answer. But not someone from within the supposed pack lands beyond. An ear shifted to the side, receptive of the words the stranger offered. After a beat, Yanna turned his head to look at the older, white male who had appeared. The expression he wore was neutral, as if his face might as well be made out of stone, his eyes blank.

He blinked, canting his head just so. "How do you know?" He rumbled. The question was merely that - a question. There was nothing behind it that hinted he doubted the other wolfs knowledge. Yanna, being as straightforward as he was, wanted the facts. "Were you one of them?" He prompted, as just then a light breeze he should be appreciative of blew by. Enough to tickle his nose, to bring the stale scent of faded wolf urine. The stranger was right. This pack was crumbling.

Yanna is welcome to stop him if you wanna continue the thread. ^__^

Sungiwok nodded curtly to answer the question. I'm heading north along the coast to find a more suitable place to pledge myself. He didn't know if it would take him one day or one hundred, but the Tartok wolf was bound and determined to find a pack he actually believed in. If he could not find one here in the wilds, he planned to either leave or make his own respectable pack. Perhaps both.

Flipping his tail, Kaertok turned to leave the bay that had been his home for a few fleeting days.

His stoic facade broke down ever so slightly, his brows pinching, lips tightening into a frown. He let out a low rumble, flicking his tail dismissively. "Then, this pack is a waste of my time." He stated coldly. Let them fall, be washed away back into the see from whence they came.

Out of his peripheral vision, he saw the male turn to leave, stating he was on his way to seek out a more fitting stronghold. Yanna only nodded, making no move to follow. "Best of luck to you, then." He would forge his own path. Knock on the doorsteps of other packs. Learn about them. One, from word of mouth alone was already tempting him. Turning away, he began his journey back inland.
