All Welcome
With the rush and flail of water upon the shore came the sharp inhale and exhale of wind, a breath that swept in and over the land- before pulling back out again, toward the water. She'd longed to feel the flex in the air since she and her family had left- and it felt reassuring to be standing on the shore, gazing across the waters toward the island that had once been her home again. The land bridge was still there, but she wasn't sure just yet if she wanted to revisit her homelands immediately. She wanted to take a day or two to simply remember the shorelines before she wandered back to the place of her birth, as much as it seemed to call to her.

Along the shoreline she saw arching bones- ribs that stood up and nearly touched at the tips, creating a pathway in the sand where it had risen to cover the whale's spine. She remembered the day that she'd found the whale, beached and still half alive. It still hurt her heart to see the bones there, bleached by the wind, salt water and sunlight. But it was a reminder that nothing was permanent- and that life was full of change. Not all changes were bad, though.

She'd grown up, and had turned into a beautiful young woman. Her coat of finespun beige was long and silky, and ruffled gently in the breeze, and the darker guard hairs of her dorsal stripe rose and fell in the wind the way a field of wheat might lift and bow. She moved along the shore with a calm, serene grace, fluid movements silent as her pawsteps left behind no sound in the sand, only perfect pawprints. This was her home- and she had returned to claim it.

The group had made a temporary stop in a forest that bordered the coast, and Lokie could not help but explore it once more. The last time had been quite an adventure, what with that creature latching onto him, and getting sick from the water. He didn't want to repeat that, so maybe this time would be better, now that he knew what not to do.

He invited @Connor along. Since they met, it didn't seem like Lokie spent a moment without him, which suited the male just fine. He was a social creature and didn't like to be alone for too long. They made there way towards the sea, and Lokie was just about to speak to Connor when he spotted a figure closer to the water.

His jaw dropped open in shock. Oh, no! he exclaimed. We have to warn them! he said. Without further explanation, Lokie dashed off towards the wolf he thought was in danger. DON'T DRINK THE WATER! he shouted, hoping the stranger heard him. He was at a dead run towards her, and as he got closer, he repeated. DON'T DRINK TH- All of a sudden, he found himself tumbling head over tail into a shallow hole on the beach.

He yelped several times and jerked his body as the crabs attacked him. When each one was securely attached, Lokie froze, his defeated eyes going to Connor once he was in view. I don't like these things, he said matter-of-factly. Lokie had not found a single other creature on this earth that he disliked. Except these eight-legged freaks that seemed to like chomping on him. He had one on his ear, several littered his body, and one hung from his tail. He forgot all about the damsel in distress.

Connor and Lokie seemed to have found themselves away from the group a little bit, the two males have wondered onto the coast, this location seemed familiar since it was where he and Lokie first met, had I really been everywhere around this place already? He thought he was quite surprised that is but nonetheless, he continued to explore every corner of this new place. The titan male and the peppered wolf made their way, Connor was enjoying himself, the sea seemed to be trying to climb the shore but would trail back to the larger body of water. The sand was getting between his paws which was a weird feeling but he decided to ignore it, but what caught his attention was Lokie, the grey male had spotted a cream-colored wolf near the shore. His friend raised the alarm but telling him that they needed to warn her about something but Connor didn't have the time to ask since Lokie once again took off like a rocket with the sand spraying in Connor's face.

The cinnamon male shook his fur to get the yellow pellets out of his fur, and his emerald gaze watches Lokie charge at her screaming that she shouldn't drink the water. The large male stood dazed and surprised, his mind couldn't catch up with him for some odd reason, but he finally regained his senses and sighed a heavy sigh as his ears flattened to the sides of his head and his eyelids half closed as he marched after his energetic friend. Unfortunate for Lokie, the male had tripped over himself as he was also trying to warn her and crashed near the shore, Connor winced his head back a little and closed an eye and revealed his back fangs. But this moment was short-lived as Connor perked his ears up and his gaze widen as he continued to make his way to the stranger and Lokie. His friend looked defeated, which Connor gave an eye roll of 'I told you so' and made his way to his friend that was being raided by crabs. The male had to first make sure the female was comfortable around them and he had to apologize, "please excuse us," he said with a nervous chuckle and a dip of his head.

Connor then frowned at Lokie, a look of disapproval, "hold still he muttered," he then raised his gigantic coal tipped paw and swiftly smashed it to the crabs which made them lose their grip on Lokie as they rocketed off of him. He felt sorry for Lokie and he couldn't help but give an amused chuckle, but he hoped he hadn't hurt his best friend, the only way to get them off painless as possible was to swiftly knock them off. The titan double checked for any remaining crabs but didn't find any, he sighed with relief then turned to the young female, "i'm so sorry about all this," he said with a polite and apologetic tone, "my dear friend was only trying to prevent you from drinking that unsafe water, which I am sure that wasn't your intention," he added, then gave the female a comforting smile.

Thanks for joining!!!! This is going to be fun!

Thresher had been distracted by the pale whale bones and the reassuring sound of the surf hitting the shore, and didn't notice that she was being approached until she heard their voices in the distance. She didn't understand the first thing the slightly smaller male said, but he rushed toward her, urgency clear in his very expressive features. Her ears flicked back and she stepped backwards toward the shore, feeling the cool water lap at her heels, but it only took a moment for her to assess the situation and see very plainly that he was worried, not angry, and wasn't charging her to cause any harm. When he called out again, his warning made Thresher tilt her head to the side, and smile slightly. Don't drink the water?

She stepped forward, pulling her hind paws from the wet sand, and opened her mouth to reply softly, but before she could, the male went tumbling head over heels, unable to stop himself, and she side-stepped with the nimbleness of one very accustomed to dodging waves. He sent sand and surf flying as he came to a halt, and was immediately set upon by irritated crabs which must have been gathered in that pool of water, and saw fit to punish him thoroughly for crashing their party.

"Oh, no," She whispered softly, having learned how painful it was to be pinched or grabbed by the pincers of a crab, and she moved toward him, but she respectfully moved aside as the male's much more refined friend stepped forward. He had an air of grace and dignity about him, and though the two looked to be about the same age, they were very different indeed. Still, it was obvious that he cared, though he did deal with the crabs in a slightly deft slap of his paw that surely pulled some of the smaller male's fur loose. She winced, but at least he'd been rid of the pests that had chosen to clamp onto him.

She shyly glanced up at the knightly male, who explained the situation. Warmly, she smiled at the poor, bedraggled fellow whose heart had been in the right place, even though he'd been a bit silly to think that she didn't know that sea water was not fit for drinking. "Thank," She whispered softly, dipping her head to Lokie, and reached out to gently touch her nose to his cheek in a gesture of appreciation. "Am from the sea...From island," She said, gesturing with a fluid motion to the island that lay out in the bay, across the land bridge that reached out to it. "But...Very right. Not to drink sea water," She said, making a face to demonstrate the foul taste, followed by a girlish smile.

Lokie was standing still as they approached, and returned his friend's look of disapproval, though Lokie's was more comical. Whadya lookin' at me like that for? I was just tryin'a warn her, he said, his accent coming through as he tried to defend himself. Connor began, as Lokie could only describe as torture, to hit the crabs off of him. Ow, hey, ah! he replied as each of the crabs were unceremoniously taken off of him. Leave some fur, will ya?! When all the crabs were gone, Lokie shook his coat out, feeling better, although blood did drip from his ear.

He turned to the she wolf as Connor did, not interrupting as he correctly explained that Lokie was making sure she didn't drink the water. It seemed, as she explained, that there was no need for the warning. She already knew. But, she did confirm Lokie was right, so he didn't feel like a complete fool.

Since that was settled, Lokie introduced them. This is Connor, he said, motioning towards the larger male. And I'm Lokie, he added with a friendly smile. The crabs were all but forgotten, and now Lokie was more focused on a new friend.

your welcome! <3

Connor felt bad that he had to use such force to get them off, but it was the only way he knew how to get them off, "sorry," he said as Lokie complained about losing fur. He did a double check if there were any more crabs on him but there seemed to be none, the little devils scrambled away from the three wolves and Connor flared his nose at them. He then turned his large head to the female who thanked Lokie for warning her, but it seemed that she already knew that the water was already bad which didn't surprise Connor. But what interested him was that she said that she was from an island from the sea, but he didn't know that there were islands around here anyway, it piqued his natural curiosity.

Lokie introduced the pair and Connor dipped his head to her when his name was mentioned, she looked to be young and he wanted to make sure that she was comfortable around them. "Pleasure to be meeting you, what is your name miss?" He said with a welcoming smile and a polite tone followed by a comforting gaze and a small tail wag.
