Oystercatcher Tide Pools and the ones you left behind

peace fell upon the shore throughout the night and into the morning. that would soon end when a dark figure parted a flock local seabirds.  

what a mess he was. fur bedraggled, shoulders slumped, eyes clouded. certainly not the joyful father he once was. that blessed bliss was stripped away from him.

issun took his life for granted. a bastard son blinded him from the beauty of his own family and the precious times they shared. he longed for those little moments again. but was that even possible now?

As Bat meandered toward the tide pools, she wondered if she should be disheartened. Her recruiting attempts more often that not ended in disappointment and their pack really wasn't getting off the ground as quickly as she'd anticipated. But was the yearling really that upset about it? It would be awesome if things picked up and Margaritavilla took off... but, honestly, she would be just as happy if it all fell apart and it was just the two of them, hanging out in paradise together indefinitely.

But @Tristan wasn't with her right now and she wasn't in the grove. That wasn't to say she was alone. The sudden dispersal of a flock of gulls caught her attention and Bat found herself peering at the source of their disturbance: a strange wolf with black fur. Even from a distance, she could tell that he was in bad shape. She paused, then hastened toward him.

"Hey there, you okay? Need some help?"
