with a few hours of sleep that followed his acceptance he was feeling better ...or as well as one struggling to regain his gaping memory could feel. at least his head no longer thrummed with sharp pains.

it was funny how those two words still haunt and taunt him.
he tries not to worry about it if only because if he was suffering from brain damage well ...there was nothing to be done about it. either his memory would return in full or it wouldn't and there was little use in weeping over what was lost to him. still, he does as towhee instructs and sets out with the hopes of finding the woman she mentioned: ruenna. it would be easier if he called for her, he admits, but his feet diverge from his original path and makes a diversion to lotte's grave figuring that a short visit before calling for the woman was in order.
the earth where she was buried was even once more with the only indication that there was anything precious there at all being the wild and poisonous hemlock that grows on and guards it.
