Luckily, the bone was not weak nor did it belong to a bird, and it would not splinter yet. When Desdemona said she found it rather than slaughtered, Mira's gaze fell slightly, disappointment masked. The girl's want to hunt could be satisfied by this toy, she thought, as she grated fangs along it, imagining she was skinning a mouse alive. After some time, she eventually grew bored, and nudged the slobber-covered bone back to the adult, a slight wag of her tail offered as thanks before she would slip away back to the den.
