All Welcome
It had been ages since she had seen hide nor hair of any Deorwine, and for the most part Zephrine was fine with that. It had been hard to disperse from the woods — leaving an establishment after having finally found them again — and the winter weather was difficult to adjust to, but she did it. She'd had to.

While trekking north along the coast she had heard a familiar sound emanating from the bracken. It was shocking to think that the King Elk would have followed her all the way across the world like this. Skeptical as she was, Zephrine felt the ache of homesickness too, and this fueled her need to investigate.

The sound lured her east through the woods until the sound had stopped entirely. The creature either found what it had been calling for, or she had spooked it. Either way, Zephrine was all alone yet again. The silence of the frost-laden woods was suddenly overwhelming.

border marking and patrolling, with his injured hip, leg combo was ...tedious. typically, while wintersbane found a kind of familiar tranquility in the routine, the ache of his healing leg stole anything serene thought from his mind. he grits his teeth and keeps moving, pausing where the scent(s) are the weakest and strengthens them; trying his best to focus upon the mission at hand instead of the throbbing ache of protest from his healing wound.

a new scent; unfamiliar and not of those he's gathered draws his attention, blissfully stealing it away from the protest of his mending sinew and skin. he limps his way to the stranger, letting out a low chuff of greeting and to garner her attention.
