Limit Two
Forward dated about a week and a half from now.  :)
Set at sunset!
For @Sayf

Not long ago Alduin had run into @Turmeric, which was a surprise in and of itself. It has his mind reeling with possibilities. If he’s back, are the others back too? More importantly, is @Thyme back? Thoughts of his childhood friend wrack his mind more often than he cares to admit or acknowledge. He wonders what he looks like now. He wonders if he’ll ever find him again — or even see him, talk to him. He wonders if he’s even alive. Such grim thoughts have him in a dark mood.

Which causes him to journey out to find him. Due to his pessimistic brain, he thinks the journey is for naught. He might not even find a trace, but he will search anyways. If Turmeric is here, then perhaps there’s a small ember of hope that he might be too. Perhaps he might just be able to find Mulberry, Derg, or Arlette too, who knows.

Only far enough on his journey he comes across the Great Lake west of the canyon and he stares at it with a fearful stillness. The memories of his childhood come back to him. The sight forces a plethora of scenes to domino back into existence from the dark recesses of his blurry memory. First, falling into the waterfall and waking in Moonglow. Then the more recent memory of Kukutux banishing him from ever returning. These lead further to the canyon, memories of when everything was okay. He would chew on Thyme, crawl all over Arlette, and bug his mother and brothers. The good days…when the Saints were still whole.

He snaps out of the trance his mind settles him into and he blinks his eyes. His face instantly wrinkling up in a deep scowl and a low angered rumble moves through his chest. Brows drawn tight, he begins moving and searching again. Hopefully his search is not in vain.

Tags for ref! Also for Turmeric I’m assuming that they will eventually recognize each other in out other thread but if you want me to edit jic I’m okay with that. <3

It had been some time since the hebsut had left the mesa. Most of his hours were spoken for every day, but tonight, the priest dismissed him early so that he could be entertained by the sweet Belen. Sayf had taken the opportunity to leave for a little bit.

As he circled the lake, he heard an angry rumble from somewhere in the distance. Quickly, the coyote sank into the shadows of a thicket so that he could spy on the maker of the sound before showing himself. He did not want to put himself in danger.

A giant of a man eventually sulked by—it reminded him of another giant and brought forth a terrible longing that he had tried not to dwell on too often.

Deciding that this stranger looked like he needed some comfort, Sayf finally stepped out and stood in the man's path. His tail was still between his hocks and his were pressed submissively to his head. Then he waited.

With his sour mood still intact, Alduin drives on, hanging his head low and raising it high to see what scents he can catch on the wind or ground. Nothing of interest, but even if he did smell Thyme, would he smell the same? Probably not. His brain is not doing a good job at cheering him up and better yet the damned ghost doesn’t help either. Walking next to him with the occasional snarky quip.

A You’re probably not going to find him… or a You done searching for your childhood love yet? It gets on his nerves. The bastard thinks he’s so funny too and it only makes Alduin roll his eyes and growl at him to shut it, but he never listens. Quite a shame really. Maybe if the demon didn’t ask him to do such heinous things and annoy the fuck out of him they might just be able to coexist peacefully. He knows how to push his buttons though.

Still, even if he doesn’t find Thyme, he definitely finds someone. Or rather they find him because a stranger is stepping into his path just ahead of him. A smaller grey and red coyote looking thing. Alduin’s eyes narrow when he looks upon them. Nothing about them scream a boiling fight, but it doesn’t stop the hellhound from preparing anyways. Just because the other doesn’t want to fight doesn’t mean Alduin doesn’t. He could definitely use one right now too, especially with his pissed off he’s been feeling.

The males ears are pressed low to his skull and his tail is tucked neatly between his legs. The visual signs of submissive only calms him some, but why do they step in his way so brazenly? What do they want?

So Alduin would lift his head some. His eyes, still narrowed, regard him with a calculating and questioning wildness. One side of his maw lifts in a silent sneer.

“What? Want to become a snack, coy?” He asks in that rasping tone of his. Attitude evident and obvious in the deep rumble of his voice.

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: sexual references

Sayf was momentarily entranced by the chaos the stranger radiated as he drew near. There was a lot of anger in this man, and the hebsut thought he could help calm some of it if the bear would allow it. Currently he seemed more likely to tear him apart than to let the coyote work his magic.

The grumble of the man's voice made Sayf shiver. He chanced a few steps closer, his head ducked. I guess that depends on what kind of snack you want to make me, he answered boldly. Most men could be swayed away from violence with the promise of pleasure. He wondered how difficult this one would be. Something about the danger of the situation excited the coyote.

The guy has a vibe about him and Alduin’s catching onto what it is. He’s sly and submissive as he slinks closer and Alduin catches a glimpse of his eyes, continuing the hard eye contact as he approaches further. He’s got a certain look in them, one Alduin is familiar to but has never truly tested the waters with.

Hell, Alduin doesn’t even know his own sexuality. Once he asked his father about it and soon after realized it was a mistake because, despite being his father and being married to his mother for shit sake, he went on a glorious story telling session about all of his insane sexual encounters with both men and women. Even now, Alduin only moderately knows what attraction feels like. Only now has he accepted even allowing himself to feel things such as that. Always keeping his emotions and thoughts behind closed doors made his mind just as mute to those kinds of things. Until he started getting older. Now, he thinks of Thyme sometimes, even perhaps the Listener. Maybe a few others back home outside of these lands as well.

He is not sure if he is attracted to men though. He feels as if it might be wrong… in a way. What is the point of being attracted to one and having sexual encounters with the same sex? They cannot bear children. So what’s the point?

Either way, this coyote confuses him and that confusion only translates into anger deep in his breast. After that it becomes surprise, especially be coy’s next words…

I guess that depends on what kind of snack you want to make me,

At those sly and obviously suggestive words Alduin’s ears flick backwards for a moment and his brows furrow further. He gives him a muted scowl tinged with reluctant surprise then. And he doesn’t even know his name! What an interesting man, but why is he trying to seduce him?

Alduin’s not going to lie, he’s never had someone actively pursue him in such an obvious way and he doesn’t quite know what to do. How dare this man catch him off guard with such words. How dare him try and convince Alduin not to kill him with the sweet promises of something else. A spark of anger strikes his chest for some reason. A reason even Alduin doesn’t know why.

So, understanding the context Alduin finally speaks. Schooling his face into his usual scowl once more he stares down at him from the bridge of his nose.

“Oh? You’re letting me choose?” He hums low, a growl lacing into his tone.

He’d move towards him then, looking to circle around the others smaller form. He looks down at him regally, regarding him judgmentally.

“Why? Do you assume I’m into men then?” He asks with that same attitude. “Do you like trying your luck?”

For some reason just the assumption makes him angry. Maybe he’s not into men. Is there anything wrong with being attracted to the same sex? No, judging by what his father and mother say, but still, he’s still coming to terms with his own sexuality and it overwhelms him so.

The growl from the shadow sent another shiver through the coyote. It should send fear through him, but his self preservation instincts didn't always work so well. This man could kill him with one move, and Sayf found that exhilarating.

The stranger moved closer then, and began to circle him. The hebsut remained still and allowed the intense red gaze to take him in.

The coyote was a bit surprised by the man's question. He had been in Akashingo so long that he hadn't even considered that this giant might not find him attractive. The thought made his stomach drop a little, though he only offered a shy smile in return.

I only hoped that you were. You seem to be in need of comfort, and I am good at providing that, Sayf explained. He chanced moving closer. Now he could reach out and brush his nose through the dark fur of the stranger's chest. He restrained himself for now. I am Sayf, he offered. Then he glanced up with soft heat in his golden eyes.

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: Anything beyond this post will contain slightly suggestive sexual content ;)

For some obvious and not so obvious reason, he getting the idea the other man doesn’t mind his crass words or tone. He even thinks that he may even like it. Which truly Alduin doesn’t know why he would. The second someone gets an attitude with him it’s fight night. Only, he doesn’t seem to mind and the thought of abusing that power is tantalizing, only he’s defiant to try because he knows he’ll like it. Does Alduin want him to like it? He’s not quite sure.

Still, even after all of Alduin’s aggressive questioning the other still speaks in these soft, seductive tones. Even offers a shy looking smile up towards him.

I only hoped that you were. You seem to be in need of comfort, and I am good at providing that,

Alduin scoffs then. Comfort? Does he need comfort? No, he’s never needed it and he doesn’t need it now, but not everyone is like him so is it really wrong for the man to assume he needs it? And what’s he saying with this I hoped you were stuff? He hopes he’s into men so they can run about and do whatever it is he wants to do? So many questions and Alduin’s frazzled brain cannot provide answers.

Especially when the man moves closer and even dares to touch him. Alduin watches his movements with that same wild and calculating glare. Feels when he brushes his nose through his fur and the spot feels both cold and hot to the touch. It makes his brows furrow deeper and the first of the slightly inappropriate thoughts passed through his head then. The thought that this man’s words, actions, and body might be…entertaining him. He doesn’t think he wants it like that though. Or does he?

Then he’s gazing up to him with those golden eyes of molten lava, heat evident in them as he meets his own ruby colored orbs. He shares his name then. It almost forces Alduin to look away, he refuses to do something so submissive though. Instead he growls low in his chest, trying to release his mind of this spell he’s found himself in.

Does he want that? This? Does he want what this man offers? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps one time wouldn’t be too bad. If he doesn’t like it, then he will simply just not partake ever again and maybe just kill this man afterwards. But what happens if he does like it? That’s the problem.

Instinct drives him in many aspects of his life and his personality. He is wild and unpredictable before he is level headed and reasonable. And despite himself, his instincts are telling him to partake. A fire is slowly igniting in his belly and it travels lower. The urge to snatch him up in his grip is violent, whether it’s to become prey to reply he very thing he believes he doesn’t want or to kill him Alduin isn’t sure.

Ultimately his instincts win.

Not even offering his own name back, he reaches out and snags the man’s scruff in an attempt to drop him to the ground on his back and tower over him, if he allows it of course. Alduin would stand over him, caging him in with thick forearms. A low growl rumbles from his throat as he lowers his head down right in front of the man’s face.

“You will speak of this to no one.” Is the best he can do as a confirmation that he accepts Sayf’s terms.

Sayf didn't know what to think of the man's silence. His face remained an angry scowl, but he didn't look away, which was the coyote took to mean he was possibly softening some. Or at least what the hebsut was coyly offering was enticing enough to outweigh his violent nature.

He saw the resolve on the shadow's dark face a second before his teeth were in Sayf's scruff. He drew in a sharp breath in surprise, but let the man send him to the ground. He never minded rough. And the way the beast stood over him had his heart racing and heat pooling in his stomach.

He swallowed hard and stared up at the giant. As you wish, he answered softly. He had no reason to speak of this to anyone. Sayf reached up and nipped at the man's broad chest, the he nuzzled into the area, hoping it would not anger the shadow; he seemed volatile, and Sayf didn't want to feel his teeth unless pleasure followed the bite.

For some reason accepting this man’s deal feels shameful. A part of Alduin feels like he’s let the man won, but why? Why does he feel so shameful of something that’s always been accepted according to his parents? Especially his father for god sake. His face and body feels hot with excitement and heat, but mostly shame and discontent — like he’s fighting it too hard. He can’t just quite accept it like that.

It also doesn’t help that he’s a fucking virgin either so there’s that. He’d done some things on the tail end of his time outside the Teekon, but that was just some experimental fun and it definitely wasn’t with a man either. He’s at a complete loss.

So when he brings the other to the ground and sees him beneath him like that a new wave of something passes through him. It’s hot and heavy and unable to be ignored. It screams at him to dominate and take. It gets worse when he agrees to keep this little secret.

And then the other is sifting through the fur on his chest with teeth and tongue. Alduin hisses out a breath then with that same scowl on his maw as if he’s disappointed at himself, but the heat in his eyes betrays him despite how small of an ember it is.

Dipping his head low he intakes a breath and finally brings himself to touch the other. His teeth nip and bite at his neck, sometimes tugging too. He’s rough but not so much so as to cause blood. He even smoothes a wide, flat, purple tongue over the marks that are sure to sting for a few days.

This goes on for some time, Alduin fighting with himself the entire time. With one another feeling up on each other. The hellhound even begins getting braver, moving up to roughly bite a jaw, then his cheek, and next his whiskered lips. Rasping his tongue over the others muzzle with a low growl rumbling through his chest. His eyes are heartless, but they hold the hearth of fire.

Until eventually, Alduin would pull back. “Get up.” He’d rasp out the order, expecting the male to answer to it.

His affection was taken mostly well from what he could tell, so he continued try and tame the beast with nips and licks, only stopping when he felt warm breath against his neck, followed by the sting of teeth against his skin. The bites only got more rough, and Sayf allowed the shadow to explore as he pleased. The violent stranger even started to soothe his bites with swipes of his warm tongue. Sayf closed his eyes and sank into the feeling, eventually dipping his own muzzle into the fur of the shadow's neck. His affection was gentle and needy, nothing like the rough touch of the shadow.

The man moved up to his jaw, then his cheek, and then the sensitive, whiskered skin above his lips. A growl rumbled from the beast and made the hebsut shiver. The coyote stole a glance at his face only to find him staring down at him with and impossible mixture of coldness and heat.

The demand sent another shiver through him, and he quickly pulled himself up from the ground. Sayf moved to stand next to the giant, reaching up to nibble at his neck. The beast had total control here, and Sayf would happily do whatever he demanded.

The other is so soft with him where Alduin is nothing but rough, occasionally soothing over with niceties. Alduin almost doesn’t like the softness to it all. He wants the other to fight him more. Maybe it’s because Alduin’s jealous that while the other seems to simply be enjoying it, Alduin is having a whole fucking internal crisis. He’s practically begging for mercy with this — he doesn’t know where to stand and it does seem like the other is trying his best to placate him. He doesn’t want to be placated though, it might only anger him further.

One thing he cannot deny is the fact that it feels good. He hasn’t had touch like this in a while. He only knows the touch of battle minus a few times. Again, the difference is the fact that he’s a man though and Alduin’s throwing a fit with himself by trying to convince himself to just accept the feeling and physical touch and get on with it. He knows he’s going to be mulling this over for days, even weeks to come though. He knows it’s going to change something. What? He’s not exactly sure.

When he rasps his tongue over the man’s lips and those canary gold eyes meet his Alduin feels heat pool lower and lower. Yet, the staring makes him feel just as shameful, he almost doesn’t want to meet his eyes. Not because he’s shy, no surprisingly he is not shy with anything he does. But shame and shy are not the same things. He feels as if he’s a child and he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t be doing and he’s the one scolding himself. How odd is that?

Still, eventually it becomes too much — the anticipation, heat, and shame — he tells him to get up. He follows his order perfectly. Alduin finds some — a lot — of satisfaction in that and hums low at the sight of the other. It’s like it just happens without him letting it, it’s like he has no control when the pleased purr flows from his lips. Especially as the other slots himself beside him and nuzzles and nips are his chest.

He knows what comes now and it’s like instinct drives him despite never doing it before. When he cranes his neck over him and laps at his nape and the crown of his head. He bites his ears, licks at the shell, and eventually he feels like he’s too pent up to wait any longer. Instinct drives him on and on and on…

He snatches up his scruff with a heavy breath and takes him beneath him. He would probably be clumsy, but he wouldn’t let himself embarrass himself. Especially as they both submit to the throughs of pleasure.

***

After their coupling, after parting, Alduin would smooth his tongue over the man’s ruined and saliva wet neck. He tastes a pinch of blood, but he wills himself not to apologize. This man wanted it, so why should he?

His breathing is heavy and his dark tongue falls from his maw to pant, drool dripping from dangerous jaws. He would be quiet, moving the few meters over to the lake to lap up the water. Noticeably not making eye contact as he goes — he would probably seem cold and emotionless.

Once he’s had his fill, he actually makes his way back towards the other. This time, he looks at him. He takes in his disheveled appearance and actually likes it. The thoughts allow fresh panic to rush back into his post nut clarified mind. His face is set in that same scowl, but not an intense as it was before. His eyes hold a battle though — an internal one. Shame.

He should go, he’s unsure if he has it in himself not to freak out a little bit, but…

…but he walks back over to him and sighs. “I should not have done that.” He admits coldly. “It is shameful. I don’t,” He pauses, brows furrowing, expression pensive. What is he trying to say? He doesn’t want to like men but he liked it? “I don’t know.” He ends on with a growl.

Turning away he groans to himself but it sounds more like a growl. Obviously he is at war with himself.

The beast's roughness never ceased, and now the hebsut could feel the bruising on the back of his neck but he liked it; it was proof that the other man had allowed himself some relief from whatever plagued him.

Sayf leaned into the soothing licks and then silently watched the shadow move to the water to drink. The coyote stayed reclined on the ground, his eyes never leaving the dangerous man.

When the stranger returned, the anger was back on his face and he released a sigh. Sayf looked up and him with a soft frown that only deepened as the beast spoke. It is not shameful, he said. You can have sex with whoever you want, shadow, he softly added, heat finding its way into his gaze even though he was thoroughly spent from what they had just done. No one can dictate who you are with except you. He hoped his words didn't anger the shadow; he had only meant them to ease his unnecessary guilt.

Even as he drinks he feels watched. When he walks back, those eyes are on him, and even when Alduin confesses his thoughts they remain. He can see his expression change though, a from forms and Alduin wonders the context of it.

His next words solidify it as he speaks. Words that are surely meant to make him feel better with the addition of a name — shadow. Despite Alduin not looking at him for a majority of his words he’s hears the soft passion in them. When Alduin looks at him again he can see the heat in his gaze. The same heat that lead them here in the first place.

The hellhound gazed back with his usual expression — a scowl and cold eyes — but he is not angered by the words. He speaks truth. Alduin literally doesn’t give a fuck about what others think, but it is his own self acceptance that’s the problem. The same part of him that fights Banesteppe. The same part of him that’s haunted by his past traumas. The same part of him that forced him into this muted state of mind void of emotions.

All he would do is hum at his words — a sound of acknowledgment, long and drawn out.

He’s lost in his thoughts. Mind reeling back to their rough love making. There’s no denying he liked it, but would he do it again? That leads him to stare blankly at the man as he searches his thoughts for a few seconds.

“Where do you live? I smell pack on you.” He asks then. He’s not going to walk him home like a gentleman, but what if…what if he wants to do it again?

He was a man of mostly grunts and growls it seemed. Sayf didn't mind and he had no trouble interpreting what the sounds meant. The coyote could tell his words had an effect on the shadow by the way confusion mixed with the scowl he had worn almost the entire time they'd been here.

But he offered no more words on the subject, and Sayf wasn't one to push anyone to talk. He just held the beast's blank stare, wishing he knew what was going on behind those troubled, crimson eyes.

The silence was broken when the shadow asked where he was from. Not far from here is a mesa; I live there with my pack, Akashingo. A small smile curved his dark lips. You can visit me again if you would like. No obligation, just an open invitation the beast could accept or ignore.

Soon after Alduin asks him where he lives, he’s met with an easy answer. A mess around the area. He’s tied to a pack called Akashingo — an interesting and very foreign sounding name. Alduin allows himself to break away from the man’s unfaltering gaze to look out into the settings sun’s horizon. He spots, way off in the distance, a plateau of orange. He wonders if that’s it.

Quickly, he’s meeting his gaze once more and he’s not if he likes the smile that shows then. The Executioner regards him with a suspicious squint of his eyes, but one could tell he’s slightly amused…until he hears the next words he’s saying.

You can visit me again if you would like.

It’s a quaint, friendly offer, but Alduin feels insulted by it especially because of his recent, self bruised ego. He scoffs, looking away with a shake of his head. It’s then he begins walking away, but not before regarding him once more.

“Perhaps.” He hums tiredly, almost softly.

He knows he’ll have their interaction ingrained in his find for weeks to come — maybe even months. He knows he’ll probably be back, but he’ll definitely try to fight the urge. As best he can that is.

He purposely doesn’t give his name as he leaves. He tries to be a ghost wherever he goes. Shadow will do just fine.

“Until then.” He’d say finally before he’s gone, urging himself not to look bad — ever if possible.
