The news of Kukutux and Aiolos passing had shaken her.

And there was something else – something she could not place. And it frightened her.

A depression overcame Seal like a wave a sea ice. She became a recluse for weeks after joining Moonglow. It was uncharacteristic and so the young woman felt very much not like herself. It was a malaise she could not shake and so she simply let it run its course… and in time, Seal felt better.

It was early in the day. The ground was dewy and the air was crisp, but a clear blue sky promised an afternoon of sunny warmth. She walked a well-traveled village path, holding a swath of an uncured elk hide she had procured from Arrluk.

Today was another great day for exploring! Then again, Ahna thought that everyday was a good day to explore. 

After breakfast, she decided it was time to emerge from the Ulaq. She told Anaa and Aapa where she was going, and, as always, invited @Chinook along. She wanted to walk the paths that many generations before her had walked. 

As she stepped out of the den, the crisp air greeted her, as well as wet, dewy grass that sparkled as if it were covered in diamonds. She bounded happily down one of the well-worn paths, giggling with childhood delight. 

It was only when she spotted a wolven figure up ahead that she stopped in her tracks. Not out of fear, but rather caution. She didn't recognize this wolf. The wolf carried something with it. After a healthy mental debate on whether to advance or not, she did indeed chose to move forward. She pranced with her head and tail high, her blue eyes bright!

"Hello!" She exclaimed enthusiastically! "I'm Ahna!" And a follow up question, "Who are you?"

A pup crossed Seal’s path – one that was instantly recognizable as one of Ajei and Arrluk’s.

She thought it curious that neither twin had inherited the warm rouge of their mother’s pelt!

Moonwoman’s blood must run strong, she thought to herself.

“Hello, lass,” Seal replied with a bright tone. “Ah’m Seal… but you can call me Auntie if you wish! I’m a friend of your parents. Your mother and I met when we were about your age.”

She thought for a moment. “I’m headin’ tae the stream tae work this pelt. Would you like tae come with me?” she asked the youngster.
