All Welcome
The further he pressed on, the more dense the woodland became. Dense, but no less wet and muddy, of course. That was his luck. Grayday forged ahead through the dark, not pausing even as the sky brightened with dawn and the morning mist turned to icy rain.

In his eagerness to be free of the marshland he spared little thought for what he might find beyond it. His was a journey without any real destination — but he tried not to think about that too much either. Just as a general policy. Tomorrow was just conjecture until it became today, anyway. And today he wanted out of this damn swamp.

Popping this in here so she doesn't drop.

Safiya found irritation in spades the further away from Verapaz she left. She had not seen many wolves. None to recruit that was for certain. But what she did know was that she better find someone sooner rather than later. Because she wasn't going to be out in the dead of winter. No Sir. She wanted somewhere warm.

Being she had been raised in arid conditions. IT wasn't too bad this way. But she could honestly do without the swamps. They made her nose wrinkle with disgust. She heard a noise an lifted her head. Singular eye peering beyond. Who was coming? And was it friend or foe?

He heard and smelled her before he saw her, but it wasn't long before he glimpsed ruddy fur through the trees. Grayday halted, calling out a short note to the other wolf. His ears stood tall, gaze trained to the spot where he'd caught sight of the stranger.

How many days since the last time he'd seen another of his own kind? Too many, probably; he couldn't even bring a number to mind. Far from feeling threatened, Grayday was almost eager to see what the encounter might bring. It would be a welcome break from monotony regardless.

An invitation on the wind. Move closer I don't bite. Safiya moved closer, but part of her was wary. After all she had been bitten before more than once. She pushed her way through the underbrush. Singular eye roving over the newcomers face and stopping to meet his gaze. Unflinching as she always was.

I'm Safiya. As always her father's accent clung to her words. Give her words an exotic quality that most didn't have. She tilted her head forward and waited. Who was this one?
