The dark brute introduced himself [as she hoped] and sat down near her; an act of intention. Olive considered Dakarai further from a cocked head - He was tall and strong with a thick, swarthy pelt of obsidian. Most noticable, however, were his stark blue eyes, unmissable amoung all that obsidian fur. Perhaps there's more than meets the eyes, but those blue orbs are doing a great job already. Olive laughed to herself and shook her head to rid herself of the silly thoughts.
Olive was wise and intuitive, born with an innate sense of morality and sophistication - however, when it came to matters of the heart, Olive often found herself at a loss. After all, the only males she had spent much time around were her father, brothers and Arturo (relatively speaking, even her time with Taghlaigh was dewy and brand new). If she were ever going to advise her family (which comprised of males and females) on the power of the heavens and natural world, she would need experience the complexities of both genders.
Despite her reservations, the confidence of Dakarai was intriguing and Olive desired [very much so] to learn more.
To Olive, formalities and shallow small talk were an insignificant part of life - a common practice that deserved to be challenged. She desired to waste no time on building these frivolous relationships and instead preferred to probe deep into the divine beings of stangers and encourage them to consider or question their own identities and truths. As the warrior turned inwards momentarily, Olive recognized that this type of conversations might be [not only tolerated, but] welcomed by her companion. Without answering his first question or rising from her reclining position, Olive spoke.
“To where do you disappear when you turn inward, Darkarai?”

and all my days are trances, and all my nightly dreams
are where thy grey eye glances, and where thy footstep gleams
in what ethereal dances, by what eternal streams
are where thy grey eye glances, and where thy footstep gleams
in what ethereal dances, by what eternal streams
