early afternoon finds the woman by the stream, crouched low over a gently sloping bank as she searches the gentle current for flashes of shadow. it's a skill she'd more or less neglected since recently, and she's keen on bettering herself now that the stream functions as a year-round food source. slowly, she stretches out a stiff back limb, gaze narrowing at the ache.
a still damp muzzle hints at past attempts, most of which had been failures. this gentle branch of the stream seems more hopeful a place, and so she's willing to bear the discomfort a little while longer.
