Blackfeather Woods to thirst, to crave

As they circled one another, blood trickled down the freshly cut ear. In a moment the two clashed again, teeth and claws tearing at anything they can get a grip on. He needed something to come up to distract the man - then a howl of pain rippled through the paladin as something else was torn away from him.

Lip and face torn away from its owner, leaving a carving in his visage. Even if it was on his already deformed face, the burns still having just enough nerves left alive to feel the sizzling - the cold air pressing against the fresh wound and signaling to him what may have happened. Hopeful that the lip was just damaged, he stepped away from the cannibal just on time for him to catch a glimpse of him disappearing into the ground. 

In a haze of pain, he shook his head and tried to see down the trap, the figure of the man lurking within was enough to give him the chance to flee, fueled by adrenaline he was quick to make distance between the two men. He didn't even think of the blood dripping from his face, painting his path until it would cease its fall.
