Yeah, thank you for the thread <3

           Yes, Evien did need to relax, but he hadn't yet realized it. Perhaps he could take some pages from the paler boy's book and loosen up a bit. Maybe, if he ever saw him again, it would be easier. 

            It certainly did get lonely, and Evie was beginning to feel it. It was in the tug in his chest when he decided he had to leave this boy - he couldn't stay. This wasn't the right time. If they met again, perhaps, but not now. "It does get lonely," he said thoughtfully, and before he could think too hard about it, he pressed his muzzle against Toad's shoulder. A reassurance for them both that they might not be as alone as they thought. "If I find one, I'll let you know. In the meantime, stay away from swamp fish." He laughed lightly then, and, with a heavy heart and reluctant paws, turned to leave the tawny boy by the river.

            It didn't feel very much like a forever goodbye.
