Something in Evien's stomach churned at the thought of cleaning an injury with his tongue rather than water, but he was a healer, and that's just what he was supposed to do. He leaned in and passed his tongue over the injury. Dirt and grime and flesh came off under his tongue, and he wanted to vomit, but refrained. This was why he always asked people to wash off in the water first.
He fought against the urge to puke and leaned back to inspect his work. Clean enough for a poultice now.
Evien took the herbs in his mouth and chewed them into a paste. He spat it out onto his paw and looked over at the stranger. "This is gonna sting."
