She listened with a fondness that could not be hidden from anyone present.

She found she loved when he spoke of the work he did for his family, for his sister, so far from home. She did not fret to think he might need to return to speak with his sister or father before he came back. Her mind even wondered what it might be like to go see these faces and places with him, to announce their courting among his own family!

Her heart was full.

Her cheeks flushed.

She would let them talk as long as they wished and did her best to make sure she focused on her sister as well as her new beau.
