Ocean's Breath Plateau A Golden Crown

Ajei stood watch at the foot of Moonglow. She never wavered in her vigil. Moonwoman and Sunman were missing. Her own Waterman was searching on his own. Solitary. And it made her ill. She hoped in her heart of deepest hearts they would be found. And yet part of her knew. It would not be in the way they all wanted.

Grief had finally stolen that which they loved so deeply and could she blame them. She lifted her nose as Arrluks howl rose above the sands and mountains.  She lifted her own trilling voice returning the song. Tears picking her eyelids.
