To wasn't complicated work; Valiant picked a pelt and copied her, feeling just a little silly despite knowing it was important work. He hadn't grown up with furs like this, and it was strange to see them used to often in these lands. Part of him thought the moon wolves oddities for doing so. Part of him felt as though he must seem rather primitive to them in turn.

The work was quiet. Valiant hummed to himself at times, slowly his muscles tiring quickly but his spirit spurring him on. He'd be sore from it in the evening, but it was satisfying work.

"How're you doing, Ajei?" he asked her, after a long few minutes of quiet. He stole a little glance at her. "You've been through an awful lot. You'n Arrluk both."

Perhaps it wasn't his place. He was not terribly close with either of them. But he was now the eldest in their little pack, and he knew they all must miss their elders deeply. He couldn't replace them, but he knew it was time for him to focus on the youth of the pack, and to help them rebuild the strength of their community.

And that had to start with Ajei and Arrluk themselves being strong — and well cared for!
