He wandered through the decimated forest. Curiously looking for the source of blood that was faintly carried to him on the winds. If someone was injured, he wanted to help them. His marred face sought for the distinguishable red splotches.
He found what seemed to be the source of the fight. The ground seemed scuffed although layered with snow. He dug a little bit to find iced particles of blood in the snow.
It was old. Weeks perhaps.
Starting to look around, he wondered if there was a body. Or more. Hidden in the snow. He was digging up the mounds, searching for the traces and tell-tale signs that would reveal the story to him. Engrossed in his work, he was becoming less aware of the trees around the space the fight was enclosed to.
