He observed the girl, listening to her. She indeed had morbid thoughts that she chose to share with him. He tilted his head, letting an ear tip. Why would someone start to drag off a body.
Ah, that's right.

He remembered dragging the pups body back to the Alpha, presenting it with a flourish as it's head hung limply from his jaws before dropping with a thud onto the stone.
He shook his head softly for he had left that part of him behind. Or at least tried to, he felt the darkness seep through him at times, plaguing his actions.
Eating the rotting corpse that had decomposed beyond recognition.
Wintersbane.
He turned his head, almost retching at the taste he remembered in his mouth, sour and putrid.
He could feel his stomach churning as he remembered those thoughts. Silence.

He turned back tot he female, composing himself in the brief seconds before tilting his head towards the claim they were making in the Weald, "Pledged to sister."
He drew his eyes back to her and remarked her markings with renewed curiosity.
Even to cover the nightmares that fed into his waking hours; as well as the night.
