Dawnlark Plains Nothing, no nothing

Her eyes widen slightly when he speaks again, and it takes her a moment to get past her initial disbelief. She can't imagine why the man would be so kind to her, after their awkward introduction, but she's certainly not about to turn down his help. Something about the way he says it sparks a strange tension in her chest, a disconcerting mixture of anxiety and hope and dread that she can't quite explain, though she knows she feels it most strongly when he says "I'll look after you." She doesn't linger on it for long, however, instead rising eagerly to follow him with a grateful nod.
Her expression lights with surprise and a hint of excitement at his mention of hunting, and her electric blue eyes are sparkling when she speaks. I-I like hunting! She tells him with a bright smile, forgetting her misery for a moment. She seems to catch herself, though, and her next words are softer and tinged with shyness. I um — th-thank you sir — um, Derg. She pauses a moment, swallowing hard, and adds: My name is Keen.
